Barbara Findeisen, MFT, a graduate of Stanford University, is a psychotherapist with over 40 years of experience. She is one of the founding members of the Association for Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology and Health (APPPAH), the founder of Pocket Sanctuary, and creator and Clinical Director of STAR workshops. Ms. Findeisen is trained in a variety of experiential therapies and is regarded as one of the world's leading experts in the field of Pre-and Perinatal psychology, the study of the psychological impact of birth. She is narrator and producer of two documentary films, Journey to Be Born and the Psychology of Birth. She has also been a guest on numerous radio and television talk shows including the Oprah Winfrey Show.
